Back To Knitting

This morning I woke up inside a snow globe.

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! The 4 children scattered across various cities and states will be making their way home for Christmas in the next few weeks. And the lonely only, kid number 5, is thrilled to have her siblings back for a few days!

My sister has commissioned me to make a scarf. She picked the yarn and gave me “full artistic license” on the creation of the scarf. After searching through many many patterns I decided on one that I created.

You can see the Ravelry posting for my Lake City Cowl here. It has had over 250 unique downloads!

The deep colors and the horizontal striping give the scarf a lot of depth, so I did not want a complicated stitch pattern. The Lake City Cowl gives the perfect sense of texture without overwhelming the horizontal stripes.
