First of all, I am having a crochet binge. It started by cleaning out a closet and finding some cotton yarn. Then I realized I needed more dish cloths, and then I had to admit that crocheting is faster than knitting. And so it began.
I’m not sure how I created the “butterfly effect” with the decrease in the middle. It was not intentional, but it is a dishcloth for my own kitchen, so I will not worry about it.
In other news, my LYS (local yarn shop) is expanding!
This is really exciting. At a time when many LYS’s are closing mine is expanding. How cool is that? Right now the construction is underway. They will be closed on Tuesday, October 2nd. And then on October 3rd they will reopen with the expanded space. Here are the details. I will be making time to stop in this week. I am sure I will need more of something alpacaish.
And in other neighborhood news, my husband and I stopped in at a new shop we found on our weekly really long Saturday afternoon walk. Centsibly chic recently opened, and we loved what we saw. A lot of refinished and re purposed furniture. Also, if you need cake plates or dessert plates, there are many beautiful ones to choose from.
And finally, I am still working on my scarf. It is time to take it up a notch. I would rather be wearing it than working on it!!
Progress is being made. Now that it is cold enough for turning the furnace on, I say it is time to sit by the fire and knit!
Where is Centsibly chic?
